Secrets Universe -- Based on Characters from: "Fullmetal Alchemist" by Hiromu Arakawa
This AU includes stories inspired by a fan-fiction entitled "Love in Silence" by Alphonseelric22. If she gives her permission, I will try to make this fan-fiction available with the rest of the set.
Included in this universe are (1) "Love in Silence", (2) "The Secrets We Keep", (3) "Love You Out Loud", and (4) "Research".
Love In Silenceby the wonderful Alphonseelric22 (Roy Mustang/Edward Elric) Edward gets drunk and Roy must take responsibility for his subordinate, but who will take responsibility for Ed's actions under the influence? The story is available on deviantART (in three parts): Chapter 1, Chapter 2, and Chapter 3.
The Secrets We Keep (Roy Mustang/Edward Elric) Roy gets drunk on the anniversary of the Ishval Civil War (or, as Ed likes to refer to it, the Ishvalan Massacre) and Ed takes care of him. But will Ed be able to resist when Roy, whom he has desired for a long time, comes on to him?
Love You Out Loud (Roy Mustang/Edward Elric) Three months have passed since the last incident, but thirty minutes in Roy's office change things in way neither one ever imagined they would!
Research (Roy Mustang/Edward Elric) Ed is ordered to the library to do some research and Roy offers to help.
Though it is my oldest universe, the Secrets Universe has its fair share of musical influences.
"The Secrets We Keep":
"Talking In Your Sleep" by The Romantics Secrets was the automatic theme on this series... The title comes from a single line of this song.
"Secret" by Maroon 5 Related to the nature of the secret... Mostly, the chorus was greatly inspirational...
"Secret" by The Pierces It relates more to the extent to which they intend to contain such secrets... "Two can keep a secret if one of them is dead" being one of the most memorable lines...
"Love Out Loud":
"Love You Out Loud" by Rascal Flatts It named the story, but it really also helped set the tone of the last chapter of this story.
"Animals" by Nickelback It had a heavy influence on the initial composition of one small scene --so much influence that at least one reader noticed it specifically!
~ "Up Against (Blackout)" by Taking Back Sunday "Regrets always work / Excuses are better / A practical exchange / Or a trade for the truth..." There's a certain level of deception ingrained in the story...
