One Trick Pony Universe -- Based on Characters from: "Bleach" by Tite Kubo
This AU focuses on a faraway kingdom named Nigotta, their crown prince, the royal family, the neighboring kingdom of Kōsei and their royal family, and the Red Light District in Nigotta's capital city. Included in this universe are (1) "One More Night -- SIDE A", (2) "One More Night -- SIDE B", the in-progress (3) "One Trick Pony", "One Day At A Time -- SIDE A", "One Day At A Time -- SIDE B", and "One Day At A Time -- CODA".
One More Night -- SIDE A (Rangiku Matsumoto/Toshiro Hitsugaya) He always promised it was just that one last night. After over a hundred "one last nights" that followed their two year affair, how can Rangiku break the cycle?
One More Night -- SIDE B (Rangiku Matsumoto/Toshiro Hitsugaya) Toshiro fell in love with Rangiku at first sight, but Rangiku has no idea –and they just had their last "one more night".
One Trick Pony (Byakuya Kuchiki/Ichigo Kurosaki) The Kōketsuna Prince, Byakuya, is the crown prince of the small kingdom of Nigotta. He is, by far, too serious for his youthfulness. But when he comes of age, his personal aid drags him to the red-light district, sighting that he had the perfect gift for the chaste prince. He introduces him to the most prestigious prostitute in the kingdom: an orange-haired boy not much older than the prince himself. The prince spends one night with the boy, then invites the boy to come and live as his personal servant in the palace, leaving the public to speculate about the next three months, which they spend most of together. No one is more surprised than Princess Rukia when her brother makes the boy -who he now calls Ichigo- his personal bodyguard. Who wants the prince dead and what in the name of all things holy and unholy possessed him to make him believe that a boy whose only known talent involved his mouth could protect him from them -let alone, protect him at all?
One Day At A Time -- SIDE A (To Be Announced) I never intended to fall in love with my best friend. I remember the way things used to be, when I was so in love with my wife I couldn't see straight, when every piece of me was still whole and perfect and complete. Even though things have changed, all I can do is take it one day at a time.
One Day At A Time -- SIDE B (To Be Announced) I never believed I had a chance --not when he was still so in love with her. But his kiss and his words changed that. If I didn't reach out and take what I wanted this time, I would never get another chance. Would I reach for him? Or was I too afraid?
One Day At A Time -- CODA (To Be Announced) Nothing ever goes according to plan, and no one knows that better than us. Yet we can reach out for the happiness in the moment.
When it comes to this universe in particular, music is very important. Each and every side-story written for this universe or to be written for this universe comes with a song. More importantly, the side-stories are told in two parts: two different sides of the same song!
"One More Night -- SIDE A & SIDE B":
"One More Night" by Maroon 5 This piece is essentially a song-fic for this piece, though I only casually make comments that resemble the lyrics. It obviously named the story, as well.
"Kiss" by Maroon 5 The real reason the club is named "Amai Kissu!" (which means "Sweet Kiss!").
"One Trick Pony":
"Wundaland" by Lina Morgana feat. Lady Gaga Little bits of the lyrics are perfect. Plus, the beat is perfect for a stripper-song (though I don't deal primarily with that club in this story)...
"Never Be the Same" by RED It perfectly depicts some of the emotions in the story... Loss in a huge element of this story...
"Had Enough" by Lifehouse feat. Chris Daughtry Again, it deals with some elements of the story intimately... Kind of "throwing off the hope of reaching what might have been"...
"One Day At A Time -- SIDE A, SIDE B, & CODA"
"One Day At A Time" by Cody Longo (preformed for "Hollywood Heights") This set is also essentially a song fic. It's about a second chance at love and second chances all around...
"Push" by Matchbox 20 ...One of the characters does literally push someone down, but they definitely take each other for granted!
